Not all yoga practices are created equally. For this reason, Fertility Yoga is divided into three categories to meet the unique needs of your fertility cycle.

Prepare: These classes are more physically demanding and include deep forward folds, twists and backbends. These classes are NOT advised to participate in while undergoing ovarian stimulation and in the two weeks thereafter.

Restore: These simple postures, coupled with specialized breathing techniques (pranayama) are supported with props and held over a long period of time (3-10 minutes). This activates the parasympathetic nervous system (think feed and breed!), which optimizes blood flow, clears stagnant energy and helps steady and calm an anxious mind.

Release: You will find many of the Restore videos in this category along with some postures/sequences that are a bit more invigorating. Your body is still altered in the two week after follicle extraction and it is advisable to continue to honor those changes with sequences that do not put strain on pressure on your oversized ovaries in an effort to prevent ovarian/tubial torsion.
